Things are exciting for us at GasTech, as we are growing and looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to join our team! Because we are an Engineered To Order provider of process equipment, you'll enjoy the ability to work on a number of different proposals that vary in scope, design, and function. As our Proposal Manager, you will work with our Sales, Estimating, and Engineering teams to generate competitive bid packages that secure an increased amount of profitable business for GasTech.
Key Contributions:

  • Work with the Director - Business Development and respective Business Development Manager to prepare a proposal plan that meets the goals of the proposal budget and timeline
  • Ensure the Business Development Manager supplies an effective proposal strategy (What must GasTech do to win the project including information about competitors, schedule requirements, historical information, etc.)
  • Review the inquiry documents for unique requirements
  • Distribute inquiry documents to others involved in the proposal and estimate preparation
  • Obtain help from other departments (Engineering, Estimating, Contract Administration, Manufacturing, Quality Control, etc.) to prepare the proposal
  • Drive the team to prepare a competitive price and executable project
  • Prepare and review the proposal write-ups
  • Prepare initial assessment of the technical, financial, schedule or any other unusual risks associated with a proposal
  • Clearly define the Scope of Work and Services offered to the Customer and list any clarifications or exceptions to the Customer's inquiry
  • Maintain knowledge of approved company vendors, estimating methods as well as project execution procedures
  • Obtain feedback from project execution for "lessons learned" to incorporate in future proposals
  • Prepare and lead the Proposal Turnover meeting with supporting documentation
  • Conform the final cost estimate, reflecting selected options, for all successful Proposals
  • Support uploading the final cost estimate (budget) into the ERP system
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required (Chemical or Mechanical are preferred)
  • Minimum 3-5 years' energy industry experience is required
  • Previous experience with preparation of budgets, schedules, and cost estimates is required
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize the work product to meet deadlines is required
  • Effective and professional communications skills both written and verbal for interface with Clients and co-workers is required
  • Previous knowledge and experience in a technology based, product oriented, executive level administrative role is required
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft WINDOWS, OUTLOOK, WORD, EXCEL, PROJECT, and ACCESS
  • Previous experience working within an ERP/MRP environment is strongly preferred
  • ISO 9001:2015 training is a plus
